We had such a great experience with Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical. Our quote was super reasonable and Karl’s work installing our down lights and fans was awesome and had a great final result. Everyone we worked with was really friendly and it really felt like an honest and fair company. Karl was also super lovely with our toddler and dog too! Thanks again!
Daniel led an excellent team to deliver an electrical upgrade to our apartment. Karl and Remy were professional, punctual and customer and outcome focused in performing works that were at times quite challenging. Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical will be my ‘go to’ business for future electrical needs.
Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical service was excellent from the initial call to book the job, through to advice as to when the electrician was due to arrive and the actual completion of the job. Daniel also gave us advice on other electrical issues we had at no extra charge. Highly recommended
The guys were really accommodating, did a professional job and were very polite. They took the time to go over everything that they had done and answer any questions.
I found it quite challenging to get an electrician to answer my calls or respond to text messages. How refreshing to find Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical! Daniel was on time, extremely professional and so capable! I will only use these guys from now on. So impressed!
I originally had Daniel & team out to replace wired smoke alarm, install extra general power outlets & upgrade ceramic fuses. But ended up with the team doing all these plus upgrading the switchboard , replace ceiling fans to energy efficient ones & replacing cotton electrical cabling too. Across the 3 visits, the team were very friendly, professional & work seamlessly with the tasks. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the results & would highly recommend Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical for your electrical needs. Thanks Daniel & team for a 5-star service!
Our Service Side 80A fuse which protects the Power Meter blew up in a spectacular manner (see photo) at 9pm on a Friday night, causing total blackout of our Home. We rang Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical 24 Hours emergency number. We received immediate friendly support and within 30 minutes Daniel, a Level 2 certified Electrician, was at our Home replacing the 80A Service side Fuse, installing a Lightning Protector and ensuring all wiring was perfect! He was a true professional, providing safety advice, a 5 year Warranty and great value. I strongly recommend Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical!
We lost our power overnight due to minor flooding, Nathan arrived promptly and gave us a detailed quote. Unfortunately our switchboard was non compliant, we had some safety issues, but a full day later we were back up and running. Daniel and Braydon worked really hard and efficiently all day, communicating what was happening and as more rain was expected, they even tarped our eave that was leaking. They left the premises neat and clean, even wiping down the walls. I highly recommend them.
Daniel, Chris, Braydon and the team have been fantastic to work with, great quality and very professional service. Ill be using them again on all future electrical work
It’s amazing how Daniel and Chris came to solve a complex problem and restored the power that my previous electrician was unable to figure it out. They provided prompt and outstanding service! Highly recommended it!

Daniel has done an absolute stellar job changing our switchboard and reenergising our shop after the explosive fire next door and really put in the hard yakka over two full days. He was prompt to reply and professional and very much on-time. I highly recommend Daniel and his team, and will be using them in future.

Still have questions about our private power pole services in Beaconsfield Upper? Check out these frequently asked questions or reach out to our team of Level 2 electricians for expert guidance. We're here to help you understand your options and determine the best solution for your property's electrical infrastructure needs.
Private power poles provide a safe and compliant method for connecting overhead electricity to your property when direct connection to street mains isn't practical or possible. They're particularly important for properties set back from the street, multi-dwelling sites, properties on elevated terrain, or where underground connections aren't feasible due to soil conditions or terrain challenges. The benefits extend beyond basic functionality to include reliable power delivery regardless of weather conditions, proper clearance from structures and vegetation which prevents fire hazards, the ability to safely support aerial consumer mains to your building while maintaining safe distances, and compliance with network provider requirements. For properties in areas like Beaconsfield Upper, where homes may be positioned among natural bushland or on acreage, private poles offer an essential and dependable solution for maintaining electrical connections while preserving the landscape and meeting safety regulations that protect both your property and the broader community.
Several signs indicate your private power pole requires professional assessment and likely replacement. Visual indicators include noticeable leaning or tilting of the pole from its original vertical position, which suggests foundation compromise or structural weakness. You might observe cracks, splits, or deep checks in timber poles that expose untreated interior wood, or rust, corrosion, and flaking on galvanised steel poles particularly near ground level or connection points. Wood deterioration at ground level, often accompanied by soft spots when pressed, indicates rot from moisture exposure or termite activity. Damaged crossarms showing cracks or sagging, broken or missing insulators, and loose connections where cables attach are all warning signs requiring attention. If you've received a defect notice from your network provider identifying structural concerns or safety hazards, immediate action is necessary. Additionally, poles older than twenty-five years should be professionally assessed regardless of visible condition, as internal degradation may not be immediately apparent. Weather events like severe storms or incidents involving vehicle impact also warrant immediate professional inspection to ensure continued safety and reliability of your electrical connection.
Galvanised steel and timber poles each offer distinct advantages for private power pole installations. Galvanised steel poles deliver exceptional longevity, commonly lasting fifty years or more with minimal maintenance requirements, making them a cost-effective long-term investment. They provide consistent structural integrity that doesn't degrade with moisture exposure, resist termites and rot completely, and maintain their load-bearing capacity throughout their service life. Steel poles also offer a sleek, modern appearance that some property owners prefer for contemporary home designs. Timber poles, typically constructed from treated hardwood species, provide a more traditional aesthetic that blends naturally with bushland settings and heritage properties, which many homeowners in areas like Beaconsfield Upper appreciate. They generally come with lower initial material costs compared to steel alternatives, and their non-conductive properties offer certain electrical safety advantages. Timber poles can be easier to work with for modifications and attachments during installation. Both pole types are fully approved for use when properly installed by certified Level 2 electricians according to network standards and Australian regulations. The choice between steel and timber often comes down to your property's specific requirements, aesthetic preferences, budget considerations, and the recommendations of your electrician based on site conditions and intended service life.
Absolutely, all private power pole installations, replacements, and major repairs must be performed by an authorised Level 2 electrician. This requirement exists because private poles connect directly to the network infrastructure operated by energy distributors like Endeavour Energy, requiring special certification, authority, and accreditation that standard electricians don't possess. Level 2 electricians undergo extensive additional training and assessment specifically focused on working safely with network infrastructure, understanding distributor requirements, and managing the unique hazards associated with overhead power lines. They hold the necessary authorisation to disconnect and reconnect services, work on network assets, and install infrastructure that interfaces with the electricity distribution system. Standard residential electricians, while highly skilled in household electrical work, aren't permitted to perform this specialised work under electrical safety regulations. Attempting DIY pole installations or using non-qualified contractors is not only illegal under electrical safety legislation but extremely dangerous, potentially resulting in electrocution, property damage, fire hazards, and voiding of insurance coverage. Using a properly qualified Level 2 electrician like those at Beaconsfield Upper Level 2 Electrical ensures your private power pole work is completed safely, meets all regulatory requirements, receives necessary network approvals, and is covered by appropriate insurance and warranties for your protection and peace of mind.
The private power pole installation process follows a comprehensive, structured approach to ensure safety, compliance, and reliability. It begins with a detailed site assessment where our Level 2 electricians evaluate your property, existing infrastructure, service requirements, and any site-specific challenges such as terrain, access, or clearance concerns. During the design consultation, we determine the optimal pole location considering factors like service entry point, clearances from buildings and vegetation, access for maintenance, and aesthetic considerations. We then prepare and submit all necessary applications and notifications to Endeavour Energy, ensuring your installation is approved before work commences. The physical installation involves several key stages: excavation of the pole foundation to appropriate depth based on soil conditions and pole height, setting the pole securely with proper concrete or compacted backfill depending on specifications, installing all required hardware including crossarms, insulators, stays, and brackets according to network standards. We establish proper earthing systems with testing to verify effectiveness, run overhead cables from the network connection point to your property's point of attachment, and conduct comprehensive electrical testing to confirm safe operation under load conditions. Throughout the process, we coordinate with Endeavour Energy for any required disconnections and final inspections. Upon completion, we provide all compliance documentation including Certificates of Compliance for Electrical Work, test results, and any required defect clearance notices, ensuring you have complete records of your compliant installation for future reference and property transactions.
